Jill Elswick is a freelance writer and conference programmer based in Roanoke, Va. With a master’s degree in English from North Carolina State University, she worked as a marketing assistant in the banking industry and as a public relations editor for Virginia Tech before moving to the Washington, D.C., area to become a journalist for Employee Benefit News magazine.
Ms. Elswick launched her freelance writing career in 2005, as part of a move to the Seattle area. She has since worked with over 50 companies on various projects. At Employee Benefit News, she covered topics important to employee benefit professionals, including consumer-driven health care, 401(k) plans, and legal and regulatory issues affecting benefit plans.
Among Ms. Elswick’s clients are media firms, trade magazines, insurance companies, and a pharmaceutical consulting firm.
